Established by the
Supreme Soviet in 1971, this medal was awarded to those who advanced the cause of peace and cooperation between the
USSR and other nations. It is considered the most atractive of Soviet medals.
It consists of a silver and reddish star with gold rays comming out between the points. Inside the star is a circle of interlinked hands, inside of this is the Crest of the USSR and a ribbon reading CCCP.
