The Oregon Grape is the state flower of Oregon.

I personally don't think that it is much of a flower. It is a bush that has leaves with prickly edges, much like holly. As far as I know the berries aren't good to eat (although you can chew on young leaves. They taste like green apples.)

Or"e*gon grape` (?). Bot.

An evergreen species of barberry (Berberis Aquifolium), of Oregon and California; also, its roundish, blue-black berries.
