Once you hooked this thing to the side of your
PC Engine GT, you were instantly able to tune into any local
TV stations around you. It was quite a
gimmick, but pretty nice
companion to whatever games you had for your GT.
Sega was quick to combat NEC and make their own TV Tuner for their own portable system, the Game Gear. Comparatively, it's the only redeeming feature of the GG.
Known in North America as the TurboVision.
