The best concert house in Barcelona (Spain), el Palau, as we say in Barcelona, is one of the best exemples of Catalan Modernism. Its author, Domènech i Muntaner, wanted this building to be the temple of music, and he used all the stylistic resources that Modernism used: mosaic, stained glass, sculpture and painting to the service of the Wagnerian idea -characteristic of the Catalan Modernism- of the integration of the arts.

This Barcelona's architectural gem, constructed between 1905 and 1908 is a UNESCO World Heritage Building, and was the main orchestral concert venue in Barcelona until the opening of the new Auditori. Although surpased in capacity, services and acoustic by the new venues, el Palau will always be the best place for orchestral (and sometimes pop and folk) music in the town.

Words can't describe its beauty.
