This is a dessert drink that apparently started in Taiwan. It's expanded out of the Asian community quite a bit, I've seen it being sold at kiosks at my area's local mall. It is a relatively simple drink. It's just Chinese Tea (Most likely Green Tea), with tapioca/starch balls. You can make it yourself, it's pretty nice, my brother likes it more than I do.

Pearl Milk Tea (2 Servings)

  • 1/3 cup uncooked starch balls (Comes in a small plastic pink and clear bag that has a picture of the cooked starch balls on the front)
  • 3-4 cups water
  • 2 cups hot tea
  • 3/4 cup whole milk or half-and-half
  • 6 tbsp sugar
