Pink's is a well-known Hollywood dining spot on the corner of Melrose and La Brea Avenues, despite its tacky exterior, it is a favorite celebrity hot spot. Started by Paul Pink as a 50-cent push cart selling hot dogs on the same corner in 1939, in 3 years he built a structure, and finally in 1946 the current building. Its location near Paramount Studios was a contributing factor to its success as many struggling actors/actresses would come to Pink's for a quick and cheap meal and Pink would help them out.

Today's Pink's walls are lined with photos of celebrities. Michael J. Fox used to refer to Pink's as his "office," Orson Wells was a regular (He once at 18 hot dogs in one sitting!), and Kiefer Sutherland likes Pink's so much he had them shipped to Europe during filming. Bruce Willis even proposed to Demi Moore at the place! Despite its obvious "Hollywoodness" Pink's is favored by both the rich and locals who think it makes the greatest hot dogs.
