I don't know how many there are, but I only know of one Principle Study Center, located on the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, California.

It is a charitable organization of which any one can belong to for free. They have a large video collection of "films that make you think". That includes films like "Titanic", for some reason, which is cool, I suppose, because anyone can come up and watch anything they like for free. Their main videos, however, are home-made films of lessons on philosophy and religion and such.

After you've finished watching a film, you are invited, if you want, to drink their coffee and chat with them about what you just watched.

They're open from 7 a.m. until 10p.m., seven days a week.

Every spring, they run an activity in which members of the LAPD work together with people from Los Angeles and try to catch a fish in the sea with their bare hands. I think someone mentioned something about learning Zen together or something.....
