The two county area centered around PULLman, Washington, and MosCOW, Idaho. These two small cities (both under 30,000 population) each house large public universities (Washington State University and University of Idaho, respectively) which comprise more than half of each city's population. All of this smack dab in the middle of the rolling lentil and wheat fields of the Palouse, made so popular by the default Windows XP background.
