Rarely-seen sequel to Q*bert in which, rather than a pyramid of cubes that change color as he lands, the noser protagonist hops along a diamond-shaped array of fixed-color cubes that rotate as he launches from them. The goal for each round is to match the coloration of an example cube— not necessarily over the entire board (as in the original Q*bert), but some subset, such as five in a row.

Whether the more complex, less elegant nature of Q*bert's Qubes would have found favor with fans of the original is unfortunately moot. It didn't get much of a chance to find an audience, since its release was not very long before the great video game crash of 1984. It survived to some degree in home versions for the Atari 2600 and ColecoVision.
