H.M. Beatrix Wilhelmina Armgard was born on 31 January 1938 in Baarn as the first child of Princess Juliana (Queen from 1948 until 1980) and Prince Bernhard. She has been Queen of The Netherlands since 30 April 1980 (the birthday of Princess Juliana). The birthday of the Queen is celebrated on that day, Queen's Day.

Beatrix lived in Baarn with the royal family until the outbreak of World War II in 1940. The royal family then went to Canada and Beatrix went to primary school there until 1945. She studied at Rijksuniversiteit Leiden from 1956 until 1961.

Queen Beatrix has been married to the German diplomat Claus von Amsberg since 10 March 1966. They have three children: : Prince Willem-Alexander (1967), Prince Johan Friso (1968) en Prince Constantijn (1969).

On the day of her corronation she acquired all noble titles that were her mothers. A couple of centuries of intermarriage between noble families generated the following list of titles.
