Back in the days when talkers were prevellant, we didn't used to have platform specific pranks, so much as universal ones. On NUTS based talkers commands were entered by typing a . before the command name. If a newbie came on and asked for help we'd always say,

"Type .h for help."

However, if the newbie was already proving to be a pain or if they said they couldn't be bothered to read the help, we always had a way to get them.

"Or you can type .q h for quick help."

.q was short for .quit
