Nestlé Quik is the original name of a chocolate powdered drink that was added to milk to create a heavily sugared chocolate milk beverage. Since 1999, the name has been changed to Nesquik. It was originally invented and marketed back in 1948. Over the years they've released strawberry, banana and (for a short while) vanilla flavored milk powder.

In January of 2017 Nesquik decided to try to reformulate their drink powders to remove half of the sugar in order to cope with demands to cut back on sugar intake for children.

One of Nesquik's positives was that they incorporated some vitamins and minerals to fight off Ovaltine's inroads into the powdered milk drink market. They also had a good mascot of a rabbit that would get lots of energy after drinking Quik, like Popeye eating spinach. Personally, I like the strawberry flavor best, but even that pales in comparison to the malted goodness of Ovaltine.
