RAS Syndrome is the linguistic process in which redundant words are added to acronyms. The classic examples are 'PIN number' and 'ATM machine', as the last words in each of these phrases are fully redundant. RAS syndrome is also an (intentional) victim of RAS syndrome, as RAS is an acronym for 'redundant acronym syndrome'.
