RDA is an acronym for Recommended Daily Allowance. Usually it is associated specifically with the USDA Recommended Daily Allowance, where the United States Department of Agriculture puts out a listing of what every human should consume on a daily basis for good health.

Most packaged food has a label designed by the USDA that explains the calories, sugars, fats, and sources of vitamins and minerals, plus a complete listing of all the ingredients of the foodstuff inside the package.
