A supercar made by German manufacturer RUF, the R Turbo is RUF's latest creation and the first water-cooled 911-based RUF. Based on the Porsche 911 Turbo, the R Turbo uses improvements to the turbochargers, intake, exhaust, filter and fuel maps to create an eye-popping 100bhp improvement in power over the standard 911 Turbo. Available in standard or widebody versions, the 2001 R Turbo is RUF's flagship model and will remain RUF's most powerful model until the introduction of the CTR-3. The R Turbo has been given very favourable reviews with Excellence magazine commenting that "with stunning acceleration and excellent handling, the R Turbo fails to disappoint".
