In a
clearing full of
snow
Raven Paces to and fro.
Always waiting, always watching,
Waiting for the
Glow.
Watching as the trees grow old,
With the Snow his wings grow
cold.
Query Raven bout his
sentry,
"I let the
season have no hold.
The
Glow I wait for is my goal,
No outside force shall take a
toll.
My only worry is my
heart."
Ravens heart was dark as
coal.
Then one night without a star,
Owl flew in from afar.
Lighting on a nearby branch,
Bringing Ravens thoughts ajar.
White and brown as mottled Snow,
She had with her the precious
Glow!
Excited, Raven
danced around,
And soon his tears began to flow.
Now, could Raven feel the
Glow,
For which he waited in the Snow.
The bond would always brighten,
And forever grow.
Still, the Raven waited,
The bond never
consummated.
They let their
friendship grow,
The bond Raven contemplated.
Soon thereafter,
In
Dove fluttered.
Speaking as she flew,
"I was attracted by your
laughter."
Purest
white as fallen Snow,
She had with her the precious
Glow!
Excited Raven danced around,
And soon his tears began to flow.
Down they fell as hard as
rain,
"How can I split my heart in twain?"
Falling on the muddy ground,
Raven searched his heart
in vain.
