Recursive Emulation is the act of emulating some piece of hardware by more than one remove. For example (and I have actually tried this), you could emulate Final Fantasy V, a SNES game, by running Final Fantasy Anthology, a Playstation game, on Bleem!, the PC Playstation emulator, running on Virtual PC, a Macintosh PC emulator, on a G4.

(In case you are wondering about the outcome of my grand experiment, it didn't work. As is often the case, Windows turned out to be the weak link.)
