A magical glass ball the size of a large marble, which appears to be full of white smoke. If a person holds it tight in one hand, and the ball glows red, it means that the person has forgotten something.
Neville Longbottom's grandmother sent him a remembrall at Hogwarts in " Philosopher's Stone", as she knows that he often forgets things. The remembrall is at issue of an altercation between Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy during their first flying lesson, when Draco attempts to steal the remembrall and Harry, his first time on a broomstick, flies to get it back. After seeing Harry catch the remembrall mid-air, Professor McGonagall places him on the Gryffindor Quidditch team as Seeker.
