When you have to do the same stuff over and over and over, something in the inner core of your being just gets sick of it, rolls over, and kicks the bucket. Observe:

God in heaven, I just can't fucking stand it anymore! (falls over, dies)
Repetition is not the death of the soul. My daughter feels that it is, especially because she is in a band class at her Junior High. I make her practice daily. She made the mistake of wanting to play the drums, which I have done since the 1970s.

Repetition is the building up. Building up arm strength, building up speed, endurance and timing. Rudiments are played over and over. She is the only drummer in her class that can play a 5 or 7 stroke roll on cue. She won First Chair.

Repetition is practicing to improve. Preparing for a test? Repetition and practice gives you an improved mind and better scores on exams. Repetition helped me get my CompTIA A+ certification.

Repetition is not flashy, it is not fun. When you're done with your repetition, however, you reap the rewards.

Repetition is the birth of potential and the expansion of the soul.
