A rowing club which was founded in 1869 by the workers of Riverside Publishing.

The currently occupied boathouse was built in 1911, and is in Cambridge, Massachusetts just downstream of the River Street bridge, near Magazine Beach.

A very active club for sculling and rowing, its members have competed at and won national and international titles. Most recently in 1999, its crews were declared national champions in the lightweight coxed four, lightweight straight four, and lightweight pair. At the 2000 FISA World Championships in Zagreb, Croatia Riverside represented the US in the lightweight pair.

Competitors in the annual Head of the Charles Regatta pass the Riverside Boat Club about a half-mile into the race, on starboard side, at the very beginning of the Powerhouse Stretch.
