Author, son of Kyle Crichton. Wrote The Secret of Santa Vittoria, The Great Impostor, and The Camerons.

Born in 1925 in Albuquerque, NM.
His family moved to New York, and later to Conneticut. attended a Benedictine School in Rhode Island.

Served in the US Army from 1943 to 1946 as a Rifleman, untill injured at the Battle of The Bulge he received the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, and the Presidential Unit Citation.

Studied at Harvard, and receivd B.A. there. According to him, that didn't enrich his skills beyond those he had already mastered in the Army.

After Harvard, pursued careers as letter writer, chicken rancher, and outdoor magazine editor. Was known for article in the Saturday Evening Post entitled: We Must Shoot More Deer-Now.

Married Judy Feiner, and had 4 children.

Died in 1993, of a heart attack.
