Robot series

Series of books by Isaac Asimov that revolve around robots. Actually this series revolves more around some specific robots, a couple people, and some murder mysteries.

• The Robots of Dawn
• Robots and Empire

This series is the source of such sci-fi staples as the positronic brain, and Asimov's Three Laws of Robotics.

Star Trek's Dr. Noonien Soong created both Data and Lore, androids that openly give credit to Asimov's "prescient fiction" of these principles.
