Pertaining to the culture formed from the synthesis of local Celtic traditions and importated Roman culture in Britain. Initially an upper class phenomenon it spread to become the dominant culture in Roman Britain, lasting long after the departure of the Romans.
Its historical point of origin might be traced to the alliance between Julius Caesar and the chiefs of the Celtic Trinovantes tribe which led to the foundation of London.
