Ronald D. Moore was a frequent writer for Star Trek: The Next Generation, and Deep Space Nine. He was also a producer for The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine. He then became a writer and producer for the sci-fi series Roswell. Before something of a falling out in 2000, he often collaborated with fellow Trek writer/producer Brannon Braga. Their most notable writing credits include All Good Things..., Generations, and First Contact. Outside of Trek, the duo also wrote the story for Mission: Impossible II.

Since the end of DS9, Moore spent a very brief time writing for Voyager before joining the series Roswell. Some time after his departure, he gave a scathing interview with Cinescape (and available there) in which he sharply criticized the direction Star Trek was going, and the decisions made by the producers.
