SATP is a term used in chemistry to describe the conditions of: SATP stands for Standard Ambient Temperature Pressure, and is used as a common 'standard' to avoid confusion in chemistry (such as with dealing with the chemical or physical properties of a substance, chemical reactions, and basic generalizations). Unless otherwise stated, an event or substance is assumed to take place or exist at SATP--that is, at 25°C and 100 kPa--usual room temperature conditions.
