Also known as Abderitus, Adery.

Greek by birth, he entered the priesthood and became the successor of Saint Apollinaris as Bishop of Ravenna. He died in the Second Century, and his remains are venerated even today in the Benedictine Basilica of Classe, which is near Ravenna, Italy. His feast day is celebrated on September 27.
