Common name for
Trichocereus pachanoi. This
entheogen contains
mescaline, a
psychoactive phenethylamine. It is often used as a
grafting stock, landscape plant, ornamental cactus or as hedging (in
South America). In season it blooms at night, producing beautiful nine inch flowers. In the
USA, it is legal to own but illegal to consume or process into
mescaline.
