I see an old woman with a green hat
wanting a blue hat,
raking leaves and putting them
into cardboard boxes.
I see people comforting each other
with sweaters
and cups of tea,
an old woman putting love
into cardboard boxes,
people raking leaves
to convince themselves
that:
an old woman wanting
what she does not have
or people raking love
or people putting people
into boxes
or putting everything into boxes
is not a sad list.
