The indian physicist after whom bosons were named. His paper Planck's Law and the Hypothesis of Light Quanta (1924), was endorsed by Einstein, who later extended his work.
Albert Einstein also built on his work in the field of statistical mechanics, leading to the Bose-Einstein Condensate.

Satyendra Nath Bose was born on the 1st of January 1894 in Calcutta, India and died on the 4th of February 1974.

He studied at The University of Calcutta and later taught there in 1916. In 1921 he began teaching at The University of Dacca

In 1945 he returned to Calcutta (1945-56).
