Schott's Original Miscellany by Ben Schott is a rare book. It is a work of non-fiction, yet conveys almost no useful information of any kind. Instead, it is a random assortment of trivia, ranging from egg sizes to boxing weight limits, birthstones to Olympic swimming pool specifications. There is no order to the book, with the intention being to open it at random page and learn some stunning new piece of trivia.

The book was released in December 2002. It was one of the ultimate gifts to give someone that you couldn't think of anything to give to, and thus was a strong seller over Christmas. Seing as there are a lot more useless facts in the world, I don't think it would be unreasonable to assume that another Miscellany book will be released next Christmas.
