Sea Quest was a semi-submersible oil rig launched on January 7, 1967 by Harland and Wolff in Belfast. Weighing in at 7,500 tons, she was the first floating oil rig to discover oil in the North Sea. she spent a decade there drilling oil and gas. Later, she was sold, and later had a blowout while drilling offshore of Nigeria. She caught fire after the crew was evacuated, and was heavily damaged in the ensuing inferno. She was towed out to sea and scuttled afterwards.
