An early English punk rock band, whose "If the Kids are United" ("...then we'll never be divided!") was a great, anthemic 45, an "All the Young Dudes" of sorts. But leader Jimmy Pursey tried too hard to become Voice of a Generation, and nobody was buying. Once he got over himself, he had a solo career (as "James T. Pursey"), before reactivating Sham, which still exists in some form today.
