This excellent album is the debut cd of Finnish art-rock band Echo is your love. The band is not totally new, instead they have been releasing various seven- and twelve-inch vinyl singles and split albums/ep's.

Their music is similar to Sonic Youth and, to some extent, Velvet Underground. Their songs are hypnotic, repetitive, heavy and fragile. There's also a cover of "Troops of Tomorrow" originally by The Vibrators. Other good songs include furious "Black and Red Lies on Yellow", long and brooding "Years Are for Hiding" and repetitive and hypnotic "Nym".

This is music for mainstream-haters. It's intelligent, expressive, not catchy at all. No easy pop hits here. Try it and you'll be surprised.
