Silver Queen is a variety of corn, actually. it's a white kerneled corn bred specifically for eating. It's fairly sweet and compared to feed-corns, lower in starch. Most common in some of the mid-southern states like georgia and alabama, as it is more heat-resistant than many strains of yellow corn. Found only extremely rarely in the large "corn" states in the midwest, as these opt for yellow corns instead.
