Skinemax is a derogatory term for certain shows played on the premium cable channel Cinemax.
In the later hours of the evenings, one can view highly sexual shows that include partial nudity and simulated sexual intercourse. The shows are grouped together under the title After Dark.
Some of the shows include The Girl's Guide to Depravity, Femme Fatales, Chemistry, Lingerie, Co-Ed Confidentials, Zane's Sex Chronicles, and Life at the Top.
Because Cinemax has so many shows for sexual titillation, some folks decided to brand them Skinemax because of all the exposed skin on the shows. Some of the shows are well-produced with an actual storyline that just happens to include sex scenes. Others are just sex vignettes joined by a poor storyline.
