I hate Reddit and I hate all its bigotry. But this writeup is not about that.

 

The thing that I just read that I never read anywhere for at least a year, here is the full quote -- "DAE skip or avoid any embarrassing/cringy things because you get second hand embarrassment." This is just very smart and although it's not really an advice, it still is, in a way, the best advice I've read in a year.

 

It can possibly backfire in conversations because it would be rude to cut-off someone mid-sentence, so, not possible, but I think it's very helpful on the Internet.

 

I think that the main cause of being depressed is that a person that is depressed keeps thinking the same thoughts, that are keeping him or her down; the same but less depressing is after learning another person's depressing thoughts. Both should be avoided...
