In my day, that's not what we called it.

This is one of the many easy ways to get a laugh. When somebody is talking about fscking their file system, for instance, say in your best crotchety-old-man voice "So that's what they call it nowadays? Today's youth.... ah tell ya..." or somesuch.

In the unlikely event that, as a geek, you are actually discussing relationships and someone mentions "hugging" or "making out" or, god forbid, "tongue," feel free to elaborate. "So that's what they call it nowadays? In my day, they called it SORDID SEX, and had done with it." Note that, in the right company, this is not offensive at all, even when SORDID SEX is not actually the topic of discussion. In the right company. Perhaps not elsewhere :-/

YMMV
