'So Han' is a chant in meditation, and it translates into 'I am that'. You repeat the phrase aloud or in your mind, saying to yourself 'So' as you inhale, and 'Han' as you exhale, slowly merging both word and breathing into one as you meditate. The translation, when heard repetitively, turns into 'I am that I am', a very solid base to calm one's mind. A popular western chant is 'I think, therefore I am'. This chant, however, is very stressful- if you aren't thinking, you don't exist.
