A type of cigarette made by the British company Sobranie.

These prohibitively expensive and exceedingly fine cigarettes are notable for coming in a flip-top tray-style package, containing cigarettes that come in 5 different colours, and with gold-tipped filters.

Thanks to our enormous government health warnings on cigarette packets that Sobranie refused to allow to appear on their packaging, these Rolls-Royce of cigarettes are no longer imported to Australia.

Aged sixteen, maybe seventeen, there was nothing in the world more glamorous than smoking a Sobranie Cocktail. A pink cigarette with a smooth gold filter encompassed all the world's wisdom and all the fabulousness of a year's worth of Vogue magazines, a stack of Audrey Hepburn movies and a night on the town with Duran Duran.
