総武線

The Sôbu Line is a railway line that runs between Tokyo and Chiba Prefecture in Japan. It opened in 1894 to connect the cities of Tokyo and Chiba.

On the Tokyo end, the line splits into "local" and "rapid" lines. The "local" line terminates at Ochanomizu, where it turns into the Chuo Line and continues across town to Shinjuku, then onward to western Tokyo. The "rapid" line terminates at Tokyo Station, where it turns into the Yokosuka Line and runs south toward Kanagawa.

The Narita Line connects Chiba to Narita, and the Narita Express trains use the Sobu and Narita Lines to connect Tokyo to Narita International Airport.
