Somerset Hall is home to the CIVICUS living-learning program at the University of Maryland. This coed dormitory has a traditional make-up comprised of doubles, triples, and a few quads. The building is a part of the North Hill Community. Somerset is home to approximately 130 students over 5 floors, a computer lab, common areas, classrooms, and offices. Somerset Hall was originally built in 1949 and recently renovated in 1999.

Somerset has a reputation for being one of the cleanest and most rowdy dorms on campus. Somerset residents are known for their loud in-dorm weekend (and weekday) parties. The third floor is especially raucous due to the absence of an RA that living on the floor. Due to the tight-knit nature of the program housed in Somerset, residents tend to be very friendly and active participations in creating a civil living environment.
