Somewhere Under the Rainbow

A somewhat funny comedy film, loosely based on the events that took place during the filming of The Wizard of Oz in the hotel where the actors that played the muchkins were staying. The plot is basically an excuse to have Chevy Chase running around with a whole lot of midgets and dwarves.

Awhile back I went to my local library
In search of something to read and keep myself amused during my recent downtime
I got there about ten minutes before it opened and while waiting for the doors to open
Decided to smoke myself a smoke along with some of the other patrons

And in that short time an unexpected thunderstorm came through
And when it was over a rainbow blanketed the sky from one end to the other
While we stood there gazing at the colors I overheard one patron say to another
“Therein lies the pot of gold”

Many have tried and many have failed to define the word “perfection”
And I won’t presume to even go there myself but one thing I know for sure
That for one fleeting moment,
I thought I saw it
