As usual with Blur, it's a simple riff. The couplet is played on - almost - acoustic guitar and snare drum, which creates a great atmosphere; in the refrain, a hugely distorted bass joins in and all hell breaks loose.

This song epitomizes the difference between Blur and Radiohead: it is fun.
