Spam Musubi is kind of like a sushi roll. It's rice and a slab of spam wrapped in nori. It is popular in Hawaii, the state which consumes the largest quanitity of Spam. It is best if the Spam is fried and afterwards soaked in a mixture of sugar, rice vinegar, and soy sauce (Use an equal amount of these ingredients and boil them first).

According to the New York Times, one of the favourite take-out foods in Hawaii. It consists of a slice of Spam gently nestled atop a rectangle of sushi rice, wrapped with a thin sliver of nori.

Apparently Hawaii is one of the largest consumers of Spam in the world.

I wonder if the gel holding the pink pig particles together dissolves when dipped into shoyu and wasabi?
