Spermarche is a male's first
ejaculation: it is the male version of
menarche. It is usually experienced between the ages of 10 and 14, with a mean age of 13.5. Boys that are more active
vis a vis girls generally experience spermarche at earlier ages, although the
cause and effect relationship in this correlation is still uncertain.
Spermarche is almost always incited from masturbation or nocturnal emission (a wet dream), and is considered to be one of the most important stepping stones in the transition from boyhood to manhood.
Most boys are unable to sire children immediately after spermarche, because the actual sperm count in their semen is far too low. It can take anywhere from one to three years for a boy's semen to build up an adequate number of sperm for conception.
