Staple guns must've been a failed toy idea. They're so versatile. They shoot far, accurately, and don't hurt. However, you and your friends can have a lot of fun with it.
You can have wars with those things, especially around
theatrical sets. Give one person one of those
plug-in guns, and he can be the main defender. Those things are freaking semi-auto with a
hair-trigger.
WARNING: Staples actually leave the gun at an average of 60 mph, so don't get too close to your opponent. Stay at least 20 feet away. And for goodness sakes, where some jeans and a long sleeve shirt. Be smart, not stupid.
