Steve Lucky and the Rhumba Bums are my favorite swing band. The dynamic group features the vocal stylings of Steve Lucky and Miss Carmen Getit who also play a helluva mean piano and electric guitar respectively. They play live shows all around the San Francisco Bay Area as well as venues across the country. I listen to their duet "You've got what it takes" even more than I do to the Dinah Washington and Brook Benton version. Their album "Come Out Swingin'!" is absolutely marvelous. If it doesn't make you want to get up and dance, you're just not listening. Catchy numbers like "Daddy-O", "Where's My Gravy", and "Jump Back" fill the album with great songs for East Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, AND Balboa! I once saw the San Francisco Jitterbugs Balboa to this song at lightning speed. Great fun!

Steve and Carmen just recently started a jump blues duet called "The Steve & Carmen Show". They play Tuesday nights at Biscuits and Blues in San Francisco (Mason at Geary).
