This is a
collage music, or "
plunderphonic," group (individual?) that provides its work on the
Internet for free download. No detailed
biography of Stop Children is available on the
Internet, and so I cannot include one here. Their style is heavily influenced by
techno music. They are not ashamed to write works that some might consider
infantile (
e.g. "Leafy Greens," "
Apocalypse Wow"), but also produce some undeniably thought-provoking works (e.g. "Media Overload" and their "
Rocked By Rape" remix called "Accept Responsbility").
Stop Children is an active and vocal participant in
the Droplift Project.
The name is a reference to a
US street sign that says "Stop Children" --
i.e. stop (your car because) children (walk here).
