Stu Hamm is a talented and innovative bassist that has played solo and with many other artists, most notably Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Frank Gambale. Originally he played a Kubicki 4 string bass. Now he has his own signature bass from fender, with 2 Jazz pickups and a P-bass pickup. He has three (soon to be four) solo albums out, Radio Free Albemuth, Kings of Sleep, and The Urge. Currently he's playing bass for Joe Satriani's Engines of Creation tour. He can be considered a pioneer of the two-handed tapping style on bass.
