It seems that if you're
worth your salt in certain
progressive rock circles, you have a
logo that is your
band name in some sort of
flowery script often interspersed with
symbols or with the logo turned into a symbol. This logo is then used on
album covers,
T-shirts,
stickers, and whatever else to help forge a unique identity for the band.
Perfect examples include Yes (they've been through 4 or 5), Styx, Marillion, Kansas, old Rush, Fish, etc.
